Ludwig van Beethoven, (1770-1827)

Saxophone Duet for Any Two Saxophones

Three Duets, WoO. 27, by Ludwig van Beethoven arranged for saxophone duet, any two saxophones. A set of three duets originally written for clarinet and bassoon. Stylistically they belong to Beethoven’s earliest creative period. Due to their appealing melodies, lively character and the fact that they are not extremely technically demanding, they have always been popular works for students and amateurs. This arrangement is intended for Alto and Baritone Saxes but for flexibility, 1st and 2nd parts for B-flat saxophones are included as well. You can see score samples and hear audio samples of each duet on their respective pages:

For each duet in this set you get

  • Saxophone Parts (transposed)
    • Saxophone Part 1 for E-flat saxophones
    • Saxophone Part 1 for B-flat saxophones
    • Saxophone Part 2 for E-flat saxophones
    • Saxophone Part 2 for B-flat saxophones
